A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 65789, DARLINGTON WORKS, 1906, from a North Eastern Railway Class P3, LNER J27 Class, 0-6-0, No 938, renumbered 5789 in 1946, becoming BR 65789. A long time North Blyth engine, it spent its final few months at Sunderland from where it was withdrawn on 1 July 1967 and sold for scrap to Hughes Bolckow at Blyth. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. £150-300 |
