A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 24969, 1944, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built to Ministry of Supply order in September 1944, WD No 77298. Loaned to the LNER in November 1945, becoming LNER O7 Class No 3082, it was allocated to York North and later Heaton. It became BR 63082 and later 90082 and its sheds included Stockton, Hull Springhead, Neville Hill, Darlington, Polmadie briefly and West Hartlepool from where it was withdrawn on 24 July 1966 and sold for scrap to T.J. Thomson at Stockton. Cast white brass, 13¾"x5½", the front repainted. £150-300 |
