A smokebox numberplate, 61790, from a Great Northern Railway H3 Class 2-6-0 No 1700 built by Kitson & Co, Works No 5350, in August 1921. It became LNER K2 Class No 4700 and was named LOCH LOMOND in December 1933 after the Loch which runs alongside the southern part of the West Highland line. It was renumbered 1790 in 1946, becoming BR 61790, and spent most of its BR days at Fort William before moving north in June 1954 to Kittybrewster from where it was withdrawn on 5 November 1959 and sold for scrap to Arnott Young at Carmyle.
