A nameplate, BUCKENHILL GRANGE, from a GWR 6800 Grange Class 4-6-0 No 6830 built at Swindon in August 1937 and named after the large house at Bromyard. A long time St Philips Marsh engine, it moved in January 1962 to Penzance and then Oxley from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 9 October 1965 and despatched for scrap to George Cohen at Kingsbury on 21 January 1966. Ex loco condition. £6000-9000 |
