A Pullman Car table lamp from Car Plato, built as part of an order of six 20-seat first-class buffet cars by Metropolitan Carriage, Wagon & Finance Company Ltd in 1927. Often used on Ocean Liner Express trains and miscellaneous services, the car was modernised on numerous occasions and was withdrawn from service during August 1966 and sold for scrap. The table lamp is from the second A-type series introduced in 1947. The lamp has the car name on the side and is complete with its switch. £500-800 |
