A worksplate BEYER PEACOCK, 7173, 1945, from a South African Railways 3ft 6ins gauge Class GEA 4-8-2+2-8-4 Beyer Garratt No 4006, one of a class of fifty engines designed for freight traffic. All were withdrawn by 1976. Cast brass, 10¼"x6", cleaned but unpainted. £200-350 |
