| Lot 22 | A worksplate, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 453, 1921, from a Midland Railway 3835 Class 0-6-0 No 3974, which retained this number in LMS days, becoming BR 43974. At Toton by January 1935, then Newton Heath and back in 1939 to Toton for sixteen years before moving to Wellingborough from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 14 July 1956 and cut up at Derby Works in the week ending 4 August 1956. Cast brass, 5¾"x4", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
