| Lot 20 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 4561, ATLAS WORKS, 1918, from a North British Railway Class B 0-6-0 No 157 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 21930, at its Atlas Works in July 1918. It became LNER J37 Class No 9157 and was renumbered 4561 in 1946, becoming BR 64561. At Dunfermline by January 1948 and later Dalry Road and St Margarets, returning at the end to Dunfermline from where it was withdrawn on 11 May 1964 and sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw. Cast brass, 9"x5", lightly cleaned but unpainted. £250-400 |
