| Lot 105 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 4472, COWLAIRS WORKS, 19 , from a North British Railway Class B 0-6-0 No 185, LNER J35 Class No 9185, renumbered 4472 in 1946, becoming BR 64472. A long time Kipps engine, it was withdrawn from there on 26 March 1962 and despatched for scrap from Bo'ness on 28 November 1962 to J.N. Connell at Coatbridge. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted; an interesting plate omitting part of the building date. £150-300 |
