A worksplate, PECKETT, 832, 1900, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new in May 1900 to Huntley and Palmers Ltd of Reading as their loco D. Circa 1949 it moved to Gibbs and Canning Ltd at Glascote Tileries near Tamworth and then in September 1952 to New Cransley Iron and Steel Company at Kettering. In 1960 the site and locos at Cransley was acquired by George Cohen who used it as a scrapyard. The loco remained there until March 1966 when it was scrapped. Engraved brass, 10¾"x7¼", the front lightly polished. £250-400 |
