A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 5058, 1903, from a Great Central Railway Class 8A 0-8-0 tender engine No 58 built by Kitson & Co, Works No 4204, in October 1903. It became LNER Q4 Class No 5058 and was rebuilt as an 0-8-0 tank engine in June 1942 for heavy shunting duties and re-classified to Q1 Class. Renumbered 9925 in 1946, it became BR 69925. It spent all its BR days at Eastfield from where it was withdrawn on 13 August 1954 and cut up at Kilmarnock Works. Cast iron, 9"x5", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
