| Lot 341 | A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC/VF 3543/D972 1965, from Class 37 D6983. New to Cardiff Canton in May 1965; withdrawn from there in April 1966 after a severe collision near Bridgend with D1691 THOR. Cut up by RS Hayes at Bridgend in July 1966. This was the first Class 37 to be withdrawn and cut up. Chromed cast brass, 10¼"x4½", ex loco condition. £350-500 |
