| Lot 251 | A O gauge model of a great Eastern Railway Holden S69 (later LNER B12) class 4-6-0 locomotive and tender GER 1504. Three rail 12 volt electric with skate pick-up for centre rail or stud contact. Probably scratch built but to a very high standard with stainless smokebox door ring and handle and brass smokebox to boiler ring. Very nicely detailed exterior copper pipework etc, well detailed back-head and fine wheels. Painted in royal blue and lined red, white cab roof and red cabside 1504 numberplate. The six wheeled Tender with G.E.R. gold transfers to sides and single red lining. A superb model of an unusual class, 15¾" long with wooden carry case, motor is working and loco runs freely, albeit armature needs cleaning and possibly new brushes. £450-700 |
