A locomotive headboard, THE ABERDONIAN, as carried on the Kings Cross to Aberdeen sleeping car service. This style of headboard, with shields depicting the arms of London and Aberdeen, was introduced by May 1952 and continued to be used until the service was taken over by the Deltics in Summer 1962. Cast aluminium, 33½"x16", with enamel shields, in original condition. £3000-4000 |
