A worksplate, LMS, BUILT 1932, CREWE, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-0 No 13242 which was renumbered 2942 in 1934 and became BR 42942. At Crewe South by January 1935, it spent almost twenty Years at Buxton followed by six years at Stockport, moving towards the end to Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 21 January 1967 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge, taken by them on 1 October 1967. Cast brass, 10½"x6", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
